Hades God Of The Underworld

The god of the underworld, known as Hades would later on become known as Pluto. The origin of Hades new name Pluto comes from its root meaning, “wealth”. This name is a mixture of the Greek Gods Hades and Eleusinian Icon Ploutos. Ploutos’s association with Hades would come later, before Pluto assumed this role of the roman culture. His dad Pater was also a god of the underworld like Hades. Hades had the power to control all riches and wealth. He owns all the precious metal found in the earth’s core, and all the demons and monsters are controlled by him. He was depicted as a stern, unyielding, and unmoved by prayer sacrifices. Hades was the only Greek god not to reside on Mount Olympus, dwelling instead in a dark palace beneath the earth.

Hades was born from Cronus and Rhea, they were known as part of the titans. Hades had three sisters, Demeter, Hestia, and Hera, and as well as two brother, Zeus, the youngest of all three, and Poseidon. Hades had fell with Persephone the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, and decided to abduct her to live with him and become the queen of the underworld. Hades then tricked her into eating pomegranate seeds and she became his wife and queen. Persephone then gave birth to their three kids Furies, Dionysus, and Makaria.
However Zeus somehow escaped and also gave a potion that could make Cronus vomit all other children who were swallowed at birth. After Cronus vomited Hades along with his other siblings came out, and Hades was reborn. When Hades and his brothers were fully grown and strong they and all the gods rebelled against the titans.
