EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Muslim, with a built in consumer base of 1.8 billion spread across the world, halal today is among the world’s fastest growing global businesses. It is also an emerging market force that is attracting non –Muslims with its wholesome hygienic and contamination free principles in food production. Halal ultimately has a consumer reach of more than 6 billion people worldwide.
Further to that, the demand for shariah compliance initiatives is increasing particularly in the Islamic countries, especially in the hospitality industry. This is also an initiative to ensure that Muslim requirements are understandable, respected and adhered with, not just by non-Muslim products and service provider, even to the Muslim brothers and sisters as well. In order to educate those who are involved in the halal/shariah compliance industry and at the same time creating awareness on how competitive the global food industry, would like to offer this INHART Training Programme Proposal.
