"Half", is a piece of art that was created to represent the poverty in India. The artwork compares the poverty in India to places like the U.S that doesn't have poverty.
Starting with the name, the art is named "Half" because the world is split into two categories: poverty and the non-poverty. The two words on the artwork: invisible and visible represents the people. We as human think about what is in front of us wealth and a luxurious life (visible); however, we often do not think about the other side of the world who faces hunger, lack of opportunity, lack of hope, and lack of shelter (invisible). The red string attached to the wood represents the blood of men, women, and children who died and suffer in India.
