Half Lost Chapter Summary

Half Lost is the last book, in the Half Bad series. Half Lost is a novel about witches, who are divided into two congregates, Blacks, deemed deathly and ruthless, and Whites, considered pure and noble. They both live alongside Fains, humans, without their knowledge. Nathan was the only witch born, in history, who was half Black, and half White, because of this he was shunned, and loathed by all witches. The White Witch Council, which was run by Soul, and Jessica, Nathan’s half-sister, along with an army of elite fighters, termed hunters, planned to kill every single Black witch, plus anybody who displayed any compassion towards them. Both Black, and White witches have fled their homes to join the Alliance, and to stop Soul, and Jessica; striving to create a society where they could live in
Throughout his childhood Nathan frequently contemplated why his father hadn’t attempted to see him. Although, regardless of this, when Nathan found out he had a son, Edge, he never went and visited him. This surprised me, because I would have expected him to at least attempt to, especially considering how he felt about his own father not making an effort to meet him. The reason Marcus avoided him, when he was young, was because Nathan was destined to kill him. Eventually, this did happen. However, it was only to stop Marcus’s suffering, as he was already dying. Where in Nathan’s case, he had every opportunity to meet Edge, and nothing stood in his way. He had justified it to himself, as he believed Edge wouldn’t be happy ever again, after he had seen Nathan. Though I personally believe Edge would have spent his entire life wondering why his dad never made any attempt to see him, and indeed ended up despising him because of it.
