Practical, theory and the constant development of attitude are vital to learning being allowed to happen within the learning environment. To do this the student must do more than just listen and watch. They must read, write, discuss, engage, problem solving and use hands on techniques. Students must also develop their thinking mentality of analyse, apply and evaluate to all areas of work, as getting the students to do things gets the student to evaluate what they are doing and why. The use of these teaching strategies in the learning environment is vital because of its powerful impact on students learning for example; studies have shown that students prefer strategies promoting active learning to traditional talk and chalk methods: Penner. The soccer goalkeeper is one of the most forgotten and unappreciated positions in the sport. The majority of people are afraid to play it or watch their kids play it; the few who do decide it is their spot, are marked off and placed in the goal. With youth players, it is usually the one or two kids that do not completely hate goal that end up being put there. This lack of interest and focus on the position is why creating an opportunity that solely focuses on the goalkeeper is needed among youth soccer clubs. These opportunities will give many young players a chance to get a full grasp on their feelings for the position, may it be love or hate. Clinics also provide an easy way…

Overview: Basketball is a team sport consisting of two teams of five players each trying to score by advancing the ball up the court by dribbling or passing and then shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground. The game is played on a rectangular floor called the court, and there is a hoop at each end. The game starts at the middle of the court and is called the tip off. The referee tosses the ball in the air in between two players (one from each team), and the players try to tip it to one of their teammates who are circled around them. The team that wins the tip off will get the ball to start the 3rd quarter, and the opposing team will get the ball to start the 2nd and 4th quarters. The game is split into quarters, each quarter lasting 8 minutes. The court is divided into two main sections by the mid-court line. If the offensive team puts the ball into play behind the mid-court line (half court), it has ten seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line. If it doesn't, then the defense gets the ball. Once the offensive team gets the ball over the mid-court line, it can no longer have possession of the ball in the area in back of the line. If it does, the defense is awarded the ball. Each shot made is worth two points, unless the shooter is behind the three point line, then they are awarded three points. When a player is fouled in the act of shooting, he will go to the free throw line to shoot free throws. If the player made the shot and gets fouled, the shot counts and he is awarded one free throw attempt. If he misses the shot while fouled, he gets two free throw attempts unless he was shooting outside the three point line, then he is awarded three attempts. Each free throw made counts as one point for the offensive team. After a foul or a made shot, the opposing team gains possession of the ball and has five seconds to pass it in from out of bounds. After a jump ball the team with the possession arrow will…

For our Fitness Blast, our group has decided to design a game call Rugby Handball which is basically described by the title. It is a mix of both the elements that come from the sports of rugby and handball. The structure of the game is closely related to handball in which the objective of the game is to move the ball from one end to the other and score in the net without entering the crease. By incorporating rugby, it makes the game more complex and fun because now it adds elements that may seem strange but at the same time fun. The ball can now only be passed backwards like in the game of rugby, except for shooting which can go forwards into the net. For safety reasons, since we are using a rugby ball, there will be no goalie meaning more strategy for both teams facing each other will have to be incorporated.…
