From the excerpts it is transparent that the Europeans possessed a great amount of awareness towards their individuality and hence despite the progression of their way of grooming, they still recognized the aspects that made them stand out. It is certain that the style that Europeans employed in growing their cities was borrowed from the American way and hence it is expected that their culture would be diluted and they would adopt all behaviors that came along with American dressing and building.
