Hang Time
Objective
The objective of this project was to find out our hangtime. Hypothesis
I hypothesis that my hangtime will be around 2.5 seconds because I jump high.
Procedure
1. First we lined up against a wall to see how high we got from being on the ground.
2. Then we jumped and measured how high we got.
3. Then I documented the information
Data/Analysis
Start height: 60 centimeters
Finish height: 120 centimeters
Hang Time:
So using the formula t= . I found my hang time 3.464 s.
Conclusion
My hang time is about 3.646 centimeters while an nba player with 40 inch vertical leap, the most athletic nba players, is about 4.494 s. I math up favorably compared to professional players based on the fact that their older, more matured and the best of the best.
Hang Time is an American teen sitcom about a fictional Indiana high school's boys' basketball team "Deering" with one female player, that aired from 1995–2000. It aired on Saturday mornings on NBC as part of the network's TNBC morning block. It was created by Troy Searer, Robert Tarlow, and Mark Fink. The show lasted six seasons, during which the cast was changed almost in its entirety. Only two cast members (Daniella Deutscher and Megan Parlen) stayed with the show throughout its entire run, similar to Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
All jumping involves the application of force against a substrate, which in turn generates a reactive force that propels the jumper away from the substrate. Any solid or liquid capable of producing an opposing force can serve as a substrate, including ground or water. Examples of the latter include dolphins performing traveling jumps, and Indian skitter frogs executing standing jumps from water.
Jumping organisms are rarely subject to significant aerodynamic forces and, as a result, their jumps are governed by the basic physical laws of ballistic trajectories. Consequently, while a bird may jump into the air to initiate flight, no
