Austin-San Marcos, TX - The 2015 Fantastic Fest, held yearly at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas, is the largest genre film (horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action) festival in the United States, making a name for itself along the lines of Cannes, Toronto and Telluride.
In past years, it debuted major blockbusters like There Will Be Blood (starring Daniel Day-Lewis) and Zombieland (starring Emma Stone). This year the event will be held September 24 to October 1.
The 2015 schedule for the event promises a stellar lineup, including the film Hard to Get by South African film director Zee Ntuli.
Hard to Get captures the life of the charismatic and attractive TK, a womanizer who, like them all, is afraid of commitment. But when he meets Skiets, he discovers she is a woman who is stronger than his charm, experience and sweet words - and he is hooked with intrigue. Skiets is a beautiful woman who lives a dangerous life as a petty criminal, and her adrenaline addiction leads her down dangerous paths that TK must come to know if he wants to get closer to the mesmerizing femme fatale.
TK's attraction to Skiets comes at a heavy price, one which includes getting mixed up with the city's most feared criminal. With his life threatened, he is forced to be on the run, never knowing who he can trust, or if love will persist through the web of violence and crime. TK will ultimately discover if crime pays or if his love for Skiets is worth it all.
This modern film reflects the culture and social scene of young South Africans, and meets the urban demographic for the country's emerging film market.
