money she was worth was extremely high, 40000 dollars. Additionally, a slave watcher hit Harriet in the head which caused her to have head injuries. Lastly, Harriet's husband did not see his sister before she pasted away. Harriet was a hard worker, but she did not receive the respect she deserved.
Tubman was not respected, even though she was a marvelous worker.
To be able to work at the laundry store Harriet had to pay her master 50% of the money she earned. She worked hard and deserved to have a job to make her own money, and not to give half of it to her master. Plus, Harriet had to pay her master a dollar to not have to work on weekends. For Harriet to become free her master told her she had to pay him 200 dollars, but when she showed him the 200 dollars he broke his promise and did not let her be free. Finally, once Tubman’s master made her pull a heavy carriage, like a horse would. Harriet was not treated properly and she was determined to help other slaves who, like her, we're not treated fairly.
After Tubman ran away to the North, she began to lead other runaways to the North. Harriet helped William, man who helped slaves runaway, with the slaves. Plus, she took a large group of slaves, 11, to the North. Harriet lead slaves to the train, which would end their journey to the Canada. Tubman was extremely dedicated, on Christmas Eve she returned to the plantation to pick up slaves to runaway. Lastly, Harriet created a signal that would inform the slaves that they should begin to prepare to runaway.
Harriet Tubman is a remarkable idol. Harriet was a diligent slave, even through troublesome times. Plus, for all the astonishing labor she did, people still treated her unfairly.
