There is no doubt that Harriet Tubman had courage because after escaping from slavery, she went back multiple times to bring hundreds more to freedom. Harriet Tubman also demonstrated focus because it’s not like she can just go casually to the southern states. If she was caught, she would face jail time, or even
death. Douglass demonstrated courage because he was also a slave and had the audacity to learn how to read and write. If slaves were caught reading or writing, they also would face jail time. After Douglass escaped, he wrote influential speeches and demonstrated focus.
Over all, Fredrick Douglass and Harriet Tubman were great leaders who bespoke courage and focus. Whether it’s writing books uttering speeches, or just escaping from slavery, Fredrick Douglass and Harriet Tubman demonstrated these two traits.
