1. The author of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is J.K. Rowling. 2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was published on June 21, 2003. 3. The title of this book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is very significant to the overall plot of the book, because in the book, the Order of the Phoenix is a group of people that are close to the main character, Harry, that oppose and are dedicated to stopping Voldemort, the main antagonist. The characters that are involved with the Order of the Phoenix include its leader Albus Dumbledore (the headmaster of Hogwarts and an ally and friend of Harry’s), Sirius Black (Harry’s godfather), Remus Lupin (a former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts and Sirius’s best friend), Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody (a former Auror who was impersonated by a criminal the year before as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher), and Nymphadora Tonks (a young, friendly Auror that is a good ally to Harry), Severus Snape (Harry’s Potions teacher), and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley (Harry’s best friend’s parents). These people are very important to the storyline, as they rescue and help Harry many times throughout the book. 4. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is set in England in 1995-1996. The story takes place mainly in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, the school that Harry and his friends attend, and Wizardry and the Ministry of Magic, the main place of magical government in England (located in London). Both of these places are very significant to the story. Hogwarts is pretty much Harry’s home away from home, his safe haven, almost. He longs to go back to his school every year and get away from his horrible life with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. However, when Harry returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year, he finds that Dolores Umbridge has taken over the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and with her appearance he soon finds Hogwarts an absolutely horrible place to be.     J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, started the series in 2000. Harry Potter is a book series about seven years of a young wizard's life. This book is detested because of the witchcraft and adventure. These books have sold million of copies world wide. Not only is it a New-York Best Seller, there are even essay contests on how Harry Potter Books have changed peoples' lives. Tyler Walton wrote that the series helped him through his leukemia treatments. Another contest named Ashley, wrote that the series helped her cope with the constant change of different foster cares. She believed that her and Harry Potter have a lot of copy, such as they both have horrible scars to remind them of their past. Something that is so inspirational, why is it so frequently challenged? Macbeth, written in the eighteenth century is taught nation wide. Shakespeare, the author, wrote of a man that was told prophecies and acted on them through a wide variety adventures, including in his death. This story is yet not as inspirational as the Harry Potter series and almost impossible to read without side notes.
