The Three Musketeers movie we watched was the most unrealistic movie I ever seen. Mickey Mouse's three Musketeers was better , it is better than this one. First unreadiness is people had not invented diving mask or harpoon guns. Back then there were no pressure plate traps. In the move the Rochefort ,Head of guards, Shoots D’Artagnan, one of the main character, shoot and says that musket pistol aim was off, you can try aim musket but it doesn't help, musket can’t hit accurate unless you are three feet in front of them. D’Artagnan goes to Paris and started chasing the man that got him. His name is Rochfort. When he gets chanced, he runs into one of the Arthurmos and says, “he was duel him at 1:00.” He then runs into Porthos…

This essay will explore how Harry and Voldemort’s wand in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling, and subsequent novels, are the epitome of a dyadic pair. It will explore how Rowling uses the reader’s presuppositions of good and evil and how these human traits are represented within the wands that ‘choose’ (p. 63) Harry and Voldemort.…
I first read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone when I was eight years old. It immediately became one of my favorite books. Over the next several years, I read the rest of the series many times, and I watched the entire series of movies almost as many times. However, I’ve never grown tired of re-reading and re-watching the first book and movie. The book, titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone upon initial release in 1997, was re-titled later that same year as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for its US release. J.K. Rowling’s 310 page masterpiece was published by Arthur A. Levine Books, a branch of Scholastic Inc. The movie, also titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was released in 2001 by Warner Bros.…
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and King Arthur are related in many ways. The similarities between this legend and this movie has stood out to a lot of people for having very similar stories. The ties are very distinctive and one major one would include how Indiana and his crew take on a quest to go find the holy grail as did Arthur’s knights during the Arthurian legend. The quest that they embark on are very similar, but some specific events that happened differ.…

The film was released on Memorial Day weekend of that year, and we all know the rest is history.…

On November 14th 2001millions of people first heard the words ‘I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things. Terrible! Yes. But great.” Uttered in the wand shop of Mr. Ollivander on Diagon Alley, almost ten years and 7 films later we finally see those great things finally come to fruition. The Harry Potter series, according to author J.K. Rowling, is about how we respond to death and this film encompasses a fear and understanding of death on so many levels. Thanks to this statement by Ms. Rowling director David Yates focuses more on the tragedies and the aftermath of violence instead of weighing the film with epic battle scenes.…
In Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J.K Rowling, many forms of abuse are touched on throughout the novel. Although many of the novels throughout the series amplify abuses in different magnitudes, the fourth book in particular has many different kinds of abuse that are very apparent. Some are glossed over quickly, while others are much more intense. Analyzing instances of abuse and how it is dealt with gives the reader greater insight on the magical world. Three specific instances include house elf slavery, child abuse, and animal abuse - all of which are handled differently. These abuses are interesting as they characterize the magical world as a place where abuse is often taken lightly, as stakes are less high due to the presence of…
