In the story Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, one of the main characters, Peter Houghton is a shy kid that gets bullied and spends his time playing video games. His whole life is going downhill. The way his peers treat him through his time in High School has caused him to take revenge. Peter creates a video game that is designed to look like Sterling High School and the characters are the students. This is a shooting game. The main character Peter, must go around and shoot all the bullies. Peter turns this virtual hatred into a real life situation. Peter steals his neighbours guns and shoots all the students and teachers that have treated him poorly. This massive shooting leaves loads of parents and students concerned for their safety. The

Some of the examples include West Paducah (Kentucky) in December 1997, Jonesboro (Arkansas) in March 1998, Springfield (Oregon) in May 1998, and Littleton (Colorado) in April 1999.     The tragic hero is one who experiences an inner struggle because of some flaw within his character. That struggle results in the fall of the hero. Aristotle defines the tragic hero in his work titled Poetics, which expands upon the definition of a tragic hero.
