Hawaii is an island paradise. The beaches are incredibly beautiful and the air has a fragrance of flower perfumed exotic vegetation. The beaches are wide with bright white or dark volcanic sand. Coconut palm trees grow in the beach sand. A few of the many gorgeous beaches are Waikiki and Waimanalo on Oahu, and Lahaina and Kaanapali on Maui. Step off the beach and one comes in contact with flower perfumed exotic vegetation. It is like being in one gigantic garden. Tropical flowers like orchids grow wild. Mango, guava and passion fruit trees also grow wild. Beautiful island scenery with tropical rain forests, waterfalls, palm covered beaches and volcanic mountains like the Koolau on Oahu rising thousands of feet straight up in the air are just a few of the features of the Hawaiian Islands.
What really is the most inviting aspect of Hawaii is the Aloha spirit. The Hawaiian culture is a wonderful part of our national image. Wearing flower leis by both men and women shows the spirit of Aloha. Luau feasts with great Hawaiian exotic foods and Polynesian dances and entertainment are a super way to spend an evening while the sun sets over the Pacific and tiki torches light the night sky. The Aloha spirit is also brought out in the Hawaiian language. It is nice to say “Aloha” instead of “hello” and “goodbye”, and “Mahalo” instead of “thank you”.
Hawaii is an amazing place. One cannot find many reasons for not going to Hawaii and experiencing the Aloha spirit. Jet lag quickly goes away when you step into the warm breeze and smell the fragrant air and take in the surroundings of the Hawaiian Islands. Once one experiences the fantastic time of water activities like surfing the perfect wave and snorkeling in crystal clear waters, enjoying the island paradise of breathing air that is scented with exotic vegetation and being surrounded by unbelievable scenery, and wearing a flower lei to a luau and having people great you with “aloha”, one doesn’t want
