In this paper, the main aim is to compare two biographies of Franz Joseph Haydn; J. P. Larsen “Haydn” and H.C.R. Landon and D. W. Jones, “Haydn: His Life and Music”, in terms of methodology and how they approach the life of Haydn. Similarities and differences between two biographies are the main goals to be discussed, instead of summarizing them briefly. For the rest of the paper, the biographies will be discussed as Larsen and Landon.
