I am glad to say that I do not have this problem. I do not see any satisfaction at socializing online. I know social networks have their advantages, however the main purpose of these sites does not interest me. Some ways that social networking can hinder your academic goals is that everything posted online can be publicly accessed. Employers can look into your personal life, and decide whether to hire you or not based on what is posted (Hazard & Nadeau, 2012, p.35). What I am plan to do to prepare for dead week is keeping up with homework. Keeping up with homework by starting assignments early. Some bigger assignments that are due that I will start early are, the Proponent/Opponent essay for Writing 121, as well as the upcoming program 5 for CS 161. For Math 095, I am going to give time for studying for my chapter 7 test that is coming up this Friday, as well as the final exam. A study strategy that seemed interesting and I will employ is the Pomodoro technique. Study for 25 minutes and then take a five-minute break, and every 4 Pomodoros take a 20-30-minute break. Another time management strategy that I will try to deploy is Flex time. Which consists of drafting a weekly schedule with all of your activities. This way, you can see the time you have available to work on homework and studying. In it you also make room for your leisure
