The use of crystals, amulets, and other artifacts however isn’t something new and dates back to the Egyptians. They used it decorate their jewelry, but also for protection and health. Another great civilization to use crystals were the Greeks. Like todays users they had different properties assigned to each stone, for example they had a stone that supposedly keeps you from getting drunk or hung over.
Modern crystal healing beliefs though, come from the ideas of life energy from the Chinese and the seven life- energy points of chakra from the Hindu and Buddhist. The people believe that the challenges and diseases we face in our lives come from the negative energy that flows into us.
