Building a child’s self-esteem starts from the day the walk into your care as you have to immediately try to make the children feel safe and to make them feel happy to be there. This will allow the child to put trust in you so that he can approach you with strong feeling or worries for you to give advice so these are the steps a child will take to build a positive relationship with you. Building anchild’s self-esteem means giving complements and rewards when done will and giving them a firm but fair discipline when done wrong.
