How the company can increase revenue
Universal Health Services, Inc. can increase its resources and finances by coming up with new services, making a general improvement of the already existing services, recruiting highly qualified physicians to attract more customers and applying operational and financial controls (Allen, Fichera & Sutton, 2016). When it comes to the matter of creating new streams of revenue for the hospitals, commonly known as making addition to the new lines of services, the company must ensure that all her services are very effective as well as efficient, so that unnecessary reduction of net payments are limited (Luca, 2016). Hospitals need not to add any service line, for instance, orthopedics, just because it is profitable historically. The organization should do a research and consider the demography of their locale to determine the service line that can help enhance their overall amount of revenue. This include minimizing the production of what the competitors in the area are offering and coming up with newly designed services that are specific to the demands of the consumer. Universal Health Services, Inc. can also enhance her overall amount of revenue by minimizing the cost of supply by working with physicians and vendors (Year, 2016). After the cost of labor, as had been outlined, the second largest money eater for Universal Health Services, Inc. is the cost involved in medical supplies (Year, 2016). The supply cost can be reduced in this case by two main methods; working hand in hand with vendors to improve contracts and/or encouraging healthcare providers to make supply decisions that are fiscally
