Introduction

Life is about how we make it. We are the one who is responsible of our life. It will run to what and how we would like it to be. We are the drivers of it and all the decision is in our own hand. That’s why if we want to live longer we should aware of our self, in our health and the practice to maintain a healthy living… Health, as stated by WHO (kozier), is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. A persons health is determined by his circumstances and the environment ( CHN).
Statement of the Problem This study aimed to determine the Health Practices of Policemen in Nabua, Camarines Sur. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions. 1. What is the profile of the policemen in Nabua, Camarines Sur in terms of: a. Age b. Sex c. Civil Status d. Religion e. Monthly Income f. Years in Service g. Hours of work per week 2. What are the health practices of the respondents in terms of: a. Food Preferences b. Eating Habits c. Food Preparation d. Hydration e. Personal Hygiene f. Sleeping Pattern/Rest g. Exercise or Fitness h. Stress Management i. Environmental Sanitation j. Use of health Services ( Medical and Dental services) k. Traditional Healing l. Vices ( drinking liquor, cigarette smoking, gambling) m. Spiritual Aspects 3. Is there any significant Relationship between the Health Practices and Profile of the Policemen in Nabua, Camarines Sur? 4. What plan can be proposed to improve the Health Practices of Policemen in Nabua, Camarines Sur?
Assumptions
This study was premised on the following assumptions that: 1. The profile of he policemen in Nabua, Camarines Sur 2. Their health practices differ with each other 3. All of the policemen are healthy 4. There are plans/ tips that could be proposed to maintain and enhance their fitness.
