A career in healthcare management, your first job might be an entry-to mid-level management position in a specialized area, such as finance, government relations, human resources, information systems, marketing and public affairs, material management (purchasing of equipment and supplies), medical staff relations, nursing administration, patient care services, and planning and development. Healthcare management is huge, complex, and ever changing. Healthcare services will increase 30 percent from 1996-2006 and will account for 3.1 million new jobs, the largest increase of any industry.

One position in health care administration that I am interested in upon graduation is hospital administrator, where you primarily oversee employee training, preparing budgets and reports, direct facility operations, and monitor hospital admissions. One company I would like to work for is any hospital of Bon Secours. This is somewhere I would like to work because it’s a 3.3 billion nonprofit organization has been around the 1980 's, my mom works in a Bon Secours Hospital and that 's all I have known since growing up. The average salary is 90,000 dollars for a hospital administrator. Entry level salary would range from 30,000 dollars to 60,000 dollars.
