A limitation of an organizational chart is that the chart will only show recognized relationships within the organization and not the communal relationship which is the social part of relationships between members of the organization. An additional limitation is that it shows nothing about the method of leadership that management will use in organization. Another limitation is that
the chart can be invalid quickly because of changes in staff.
When trying to understand a lot of information a chart is easier to understand for most people than a table. An organizational chart can break down the sections of the strategic plan. In healthcare organizations the strategic planning will center its attention more on a mission statement, that’s viewable to everyone. It takes a lot of time to do strategic planning and using an organizational chart helps to see things unmistakably.
