They are manifested after every 9 months in relation to healthy eating and taking part in physical activities. The themes encourage active play, participation in sports and relevant health problem activities. However much has been lacking in the implementation of these initiates by many schools. The ACTIVE AT SCHOOL organization lack of resources to fund the initiative and withdrawal by some member schools as well as the officials to more critical resource-generating activities has proven to be a significant barrier in the implementation of the program. The program set to reward the best performing schools in the execution of the initiative has become more corrupt. As a result, the 60 min a day is no longer operational in some schools and if any, it's no longer taken seriously by the school authorities. Short questions that will comprise of youths' menu composition (e.g. what proportion of menu items is not deep fried in your order; do you ever order salads and fruit juices at any time; do you ever order grilled food).This question will be categorized to fit the youth and oral questions will be administered to young children who would find it difficult to fill in the forms. In addition, as children find it convincing to interact amongst them, the questionnaires will be administered in focus groups and discussions held.
The interviewer will act primarily as an observer and will record the discussions from the focus groups.
Provincial and Territorial Roundtables
Meetings with Ontario's citizens to gain insight into what's working; what is not working and what new policies and programs could be developed to strengthen child and youth health in Ontario. A thorough recap of the existing policies in the region will be demonstrated and shortcomings will be laid down. Roundtables panel discussion will be held and interested organizations will come together to discuss child and youth health issues. Discussions with all the stakeholders will be organized for effective planning and
