Heartspring Mission Statement
Heartspring, founded in in 1934, originally started out as the Institute of Logopedics. Its mission has since the beginning to serve children with special needs and their families through a variety of services. Over the past 83 years, these said services have grown as the organization itself has grown drastically. The three main services one can find a variety of information about on its website are the Heartspring School, Pediatrics Services, and Autism Services. Unlike some organizations, all three of these main service departments function on a non-profit level. All of these services serve under the mission statement: “To be a leader and innovator in providing clinically supported services through education and therapies for children with …show more content…
Heartspring as an organization does employ a number of paid staff, including psychology, medical, leadership, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and direct care teams. In addition, though, as previously noted, Heartspring has a number of events and opportunities which require the help and assistance of volunteers. The number stated in the Form 990 of 2015 actually puts the estimated number of volunteers in a calendar year near the total number of employed individuals. Now that isn’t to say these volunteers put in as many hours as the paid employees, it just simply goes to show the amount of service being provided by people doing so without compensation. Further on that note, there are no memberships within Heartspring. Because it isn’t a customer service organization, and the services it does provide are very client specific, there are not many benefits to be had should there be a membership option. However, many donors maintain a consistent dedication to Heartspring. The employees themselves have an option in their payroll for a certain amount to be donated back into the organization. With all donors, they are always provided options. With Heartspring being such large organization with several different services needing finance, all donors have the option of choosing exactly where their money

What they intend to do is stated clearly but it does not go into much detail which would be better for financing for the intended projects. This statement should be rethought and written to persuade people of their cause. This statement could be a guide for an even better one to be made, the better the statement the better the representation.
