Specific Purpose:To inform my audience about the accomplishments of Helen Keller.
Thesis statement..... Despite,the disabilities that Helen Keller had she accomplished great things.
Induction:

· Helen Keller was born on June 27,1880.
· At 19mo.,came down with a severe illness,deaf and blind.
· Could not see- beautiful sunrise, hear- bird chirp.
· Tonight I would like to inform you about how she over came her disability of being deafblind and about her accomplishments in life.
Body 1:
· Helen was a very strong willed person even as a young chid.

· Age 9, met life long friend and teacher, Anne Sullivan.
· By age 11, learned to read 5 languages in Braille.
· At age 24, graduated, Ratcliffe College,1st blind and deaf person to earn Bachelors Degree.
· In 1955, Helen was 75,went on a 40,000 mile journey, 5 month long tour through Asia talking to the blind and disabled populations.(afb.org)
· On June 1,1968, Helen Keller died a few weeks short of her 88th Birthday.
· Senator Lister Hill of Alabama, gave a eulogy during her memorial service, He said "She will live on, Her spirit will endure as long as man can read and stories can be told of the woman who showed the world there are no boundaries to courage and faith.
