This particular morning was singularly thrilling, in that Mr Gandy had just successfully recouperated from a bout of a winter's flu. Thus, having been given the Okay from his personal physician, he had longed for six whole weeks to be back in his rut, and a tramp through his beloved woods along the banks of the ancient Shawnee.
And so it was, as he merrily traversed, his head abounding of great reflections and thankfulness, that he tumbled upon a strange new path he never spied before.
