In The perspectives magazine there is many interesting texts. Some are about old traditions, some are about how a country was many years ago and some are about how are name makes who we are.
The thing I like the most about the text in the magazine was the ones about how small things like our skin color or our name changes who we are in the eyes of the people around us. In the text “The day I became black” we hear a story from a boy with an African-American mother and a Dutch father. The text is mainly about how people around him started looking at him directly after they found out that he was half “black”.
The reason I like this text so much is because it shows how people changes opinions about something …show more content…

In the text “Native American heritage month: keeping the culture alive” we learn about Randi Sunray and that she has named her kids in a native American a language to keep the family names alive. Her kids will probably take interest in what their names mean and the story of their language and people.
Our names don’t need to be important for us it could be just something people say when they want to talk to you. In the text “Names/Nombres” we meet a girl who have a lot of names, not because her parents cave her many but because no one can pronounce her name properly. For her a name is something which is not that important. Her name is many names. Names people com p with when they try to pronounce her real one.
Names is a personal topic. for For some a name tells stories and says something about who we are. For others names are something used to differentiate people from one another. We all are different and our names are
