“Hidden Figures” is a biography film directed and written by Theodore Melfi in 2016 that adapted from the true story of three women who are African-American mathematicians who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the Space Race. These three women had succeeded in making the first man who managed to go into orbit, Glen Powell as John Glenn.
In this film illustrates how the three women who worked at NASA in their work, they actually still have to deal with public prejudices, which is commonplace at the time. Katherine who was a mathematical genius had been transferred to a new building under Al Harisson. However, Katherine's discrimination was not great in the eyes of the audience. But small things like the "colored people" that are found only in a building and far away and the coffee water exile make the pressure for this character to face the state of the racist workplace. Katherine was not a silent woman. Sicknesses stored in the liver began to be pronounced in the scene when a colonel's army was trying to get acquainted with him. Colonel Jim misses talk when questioning how NASA can hire workers in women. Then Katherine kept attacking Jim by turning off the conversation. She said, "So, yes, they let women do some things at NASA, Mr. Johnson, and it's not because we wear skirts.” The highlight of the tension experienced by Katherine was that when she came home from a deep soaking toilet in the rain and his bosom, Al Harisson questioned his 'loss' which could be considered as 'drifting' in our language. Katherine was vocally defending herself,"There are no colored bathrooms in this building or any building outside the West Campus, which is half a mile away. Did you know that?
