High Achievers Club Aims And Objectives

It is pointless having the different objectives of the High Achievers Club and not determining a specific time for those objectives to be achieved. Objectives outlined must be time bound and resources, both human and non-human must also be time bound. For example, homework and other assignments given must be completed by a specific time and if not completed the students should be held accountable. The teachers too should have a specific time in which to mark assignments and provide feedback and if they fail to comply, they too should be held accountable. The teachers, in ensuring that the objectives of the club are met can also roster time wherein students can see them outside of their regular class time to get help with difficult topics
Evaluation devices/methods are instruments for measuring outcomes and processes. “Different devices can be used with this evaluation framework such as interviews; student evaluation; classroom observation; self-evaluation/self-reporting and product/program evaluation”, just to name a few (Pennington & Young, 1989, p.619-648). Both teachers and students of the High Achievers Club can utilize self-evaluation/self-reporting because it not only increase the likelihood of changing instructional behaviour, increase professionalism within the teachers but it also increases the goal setting abilities of both students and teachers. This evaluation method also allows for teachers and students to go into a reflective mode, wherein they will look at the strengths and weaknesses in what they are doing and find ways to address or correct the weaknesses. The High Achievers Club can be classified as a product/programme with concrete, observable characteristics that can be objectively evaluated by the criteria established. Therefore, whether you use interviews or student/teacher evaluation techniques to gather information, data received can be used to determine the effectiveness of the club and whether it is fulfilling its
