College life is a life of freedom. I remember my first day at college. I had looked forward to this day from my school days. Life at college meant for me a new life. I was no more a young boy but a young man
When I entered my college for the first day, I looked around with a mixed feeling of perplexity and joy. The stately building with massive pillars made a deep impression on my mind. I was puzzled as I was not habituated to the ‘college-ways’ of things. The students in batches were moving up and down the corridors for their classes. The professors were coming smilingly and exchanging greetings with the students in a friendly manner.
The first item on the routine was a lecture on English. I joined my class in room No. 51. It was S.M.’s English class, S.M being the initials for the professor’s name. The professor came with the attendance register. After finishing roll-call he delivered a short lecture on college-life. What impressed me most was the fluency with which he spoke. He advised us to take the maximum advantage of college-life.
Consulting my day’s routine I found that the next period was an off-period. This gave me a chance to make a tour round the college premises. I noted with a sense of relief that I would no longer be confined to the same room for hours together as I used to be at school.
My First Day In College
My first day at college was so fantastic that I have never met before. I used to think about the class in college which is different from in high school. The most things that I was wondering is about the course study to get the credit which make me blank and the assignment too. I was not use to change from high school to college that why I was a little scared when I went into the building, and I saw so many students that I did not know. I was surprised that we have class all day and there are around 100 students in one lecture class. I went to my first class really early so that I could get a seat close to the teacher to record the class and meet my classmate. Fortunately, there were some students that I knew from high school. Therefore, the class is not so scaring anymore and everything is seemed to be better than before. Now is one another thing, I did not realize that college’s student could wear whatever they want; it doesn’t matter with the uniform.
Related to this, the college contains only three sections for one morning, each section last two hours. And we have fifteen minutes for having the break time. After that, I went to my next class. As I was walking, I tried to make new friends with the other students. The morning class is finished; I stayed at college and had lunch with my classmates. We had a lot of things to talk about.
