High School to College
Most of my classmates are afraid to graduate from high school because they say high school is the best and they would miss it so much. However, they know that they would eventually go to college. When we think about these things, we would feel sad because we know that our batch would not be together anymore in that room full of good and bad memories. Now that we are in the third year of our high school life, we are making every moment with our friends and teachers count, we do our best in everything, and we are becoming more competitive than ever. It is just sad to say that we are not that united. Some just cannot let go of their past. I know that it is hard to let go, but I realized that letting go easier than holding on. When I was still in my elementary years, going to college seems to be so far, and suddenly, I am writing an essay about going to college. Leaving high school is like leaving home and forever. I do things at school in routine like I do things at home and I spend most of the day time in school than at home. This makes school my second home. High school is where most people mature and learn more things than just lessons in text books. I have learned so much life lessons in the past two years in of my high school life, lessons that I will carry with me even wherever I go. I believe that these lessons are more important than any lesson a teacher would teach. High school is full of unforgettable experiences. May it be good, bad, or humiliating experience they are all precious to me, because in every unforgettable experience I had in high school, I learned something important from it and those lessons made me the person I am now. Soon, we will be graduating from high school to college, we will be separated and eventually graduate from college then have our own family and grow old, but high school will be in our hearts

Starting high school was a terrifying idea to me. Different teachers, class times, lockers, drama! I remember that I always looked up to my older sister while she was in high school. She had tons of friends, played sports, participated in student government, and went out for the school play. I wanted to be just like her when I started high school. In middle school, I lined myself up for this, I played soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter. I helped out in the school plays, and I joined the student government. I had a group of great friends, and thought nothing bad was going to happen.…

“I want to see the beauty. In the ugly, in the sink, the suffering, in the daily, in all the days before I die, the moments before I sleep.” (goodreads.com) High school is expressed as the best of times, but also as the worst of times. Regardless of whether we desire to or not, it is a part of our lives we will remember forever. It is when we start to figure out who we are, and decide the life we want to live. While we go through this significant phase of our life, it is essential that we appreciate it to the best of our ability by focusing on living in the moment, taking the time to enjoy ourselves and helping others enjoy themselves too.…

High school was my time to stop fooling around. The first day of high school, I awoke to the aroma of coffee brewing on the stove. As I get ready to head out my sister approached me, and told me “Education is the key that opens the door many possibilities you can be and do in your near future” I was so nervous the sweat started dripping from my palms, and I suddenly felt 15 degrees hotter. I was nervous, I knew this is the time to get serious. Immediately a thought came across “ how well I do these four years can affect my entire life”. At first high school might look like a time to have fun and have no worries, which was my initial thought. Later on you start to realize that you need work hard. I thought “How would my future look? I don’t want to end up hopelessly. I want to make something of myself. Sometimes it can be hard though. I just have to work through the pain. At this point it’s make it or break it, success is my only…

As a young child, all you know about high school is how it is portrayed in the media. However, the media’s portrayal only displays the glamorous aspects of high school. However, high school can be a great experience. It is what you make of it that will make high school the best or worst years of your life.…

I would like to start off by saying that when I started highschool, I hated it. 6 am is too early to be waking up to school, especially for teenagers who are not only growing, but also participating in extracurricular activities and working jobs. 3 more years of high school after 9th grade seemed grating and almost unattainable; how could I possibly go through another 3 years of bullies, social hierarchies, and meaningless drama all the while waking up before the sun? Well, there aren't many options for people without high school diplomas, I only saw 2: live fast and die you or maxing out at 35k for the rest of your life. No thanks. The main thing that kept me going was the fact that after this, ‘ll never have to do highschool again, I believe high school is a social torture that one unfortunately has to go through to prove that they are…

High school and college: two romanticized ideas that are so often portrayed in movies, television shows, and books as a fun, carefree, and exciting environment for upcoming adults to spend their time and engage in interesting learning. High school is a different experience for everyone. The first three years really blend together and do not seem important, but senior year is completely different. Freshman year was full of confusion, learning an array of new things. Sophomore year was where life started to get fun and you “belonged” in the high school. Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration. Senior year is where it all becomes worth it and the rest of your life is finally going to begin.…
