Highschool Educational Goals

I have many educational goals following my highschool graduation. Throughout highschool, I held myself to very high standards, and I always strived for good grades. My goal was to achieve high honors every year, and I accomplished this. In college, My goal is to continue to not only pass my classes, but excel in all of them. This is very important to me and my family, and I will take all the steps necessary to meet my goal. Another future goal of mine is to graduate college and earn a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. This is important to me because this degree will prove that I have the required knowledge to be an engineer.

If I earned this scholarship, it would greatly help me afford the expenses that come with
college. This would ease my mind of the financial struggles of student loans and the bills that I will have to pay. Also, if I receive enough scholarship funds, I will not have to find a job to work part time during school, and all of my energy will be focused on my school work. It would be hard to maintain excellent grades in every class if I also had to balance my schoolwork with a part time job. The purpose of college is to prepare students for their future careers, and they should be focused on their work instead of worrying about how they are going to pay for college.
