Hello Everyone! Welcome to NBS and AB1101 semester 1, 2013/2014! The AB1101 Instructors are looking forward to a fulfilling semester with all of you.
Please note that lectures will start from week 1 onwards but tutorials will only commence from week 2 onwards. Week 1 is week commencing 12 August 2013.
First Lecture
Our first lecture will be held on 13 August 2013, Tuesday, at 12.30 pm at LKC-LT. The lecture 1 slides are now available in the "lectures and tutorials" folder. Please print a copy and bring to the lecture. Please also bring your clicker to the lecture. Do read the course outline, which is found in the "course information" folder, before lecture 1.
First Tutorial
Tutorials will commence in week commencing 19 August 2013. Tutorial 1 questions will be available in the “lecture and tutorials” folder soon. Please read the class participation guidelines and online assignments, which are found in the "course information" folder, before tutorial 1. Please bring your clicker to the tutorials as well.
Textbooks
Textbooks consist of two volumes of customised textbooks which comprise of various chapters from seven selected textbooks. The textbooks are now available in the bookstores. The textbooks package will come with an access code to gain access to an online learning platform known as CONNECT. Please keep the access code. Instructions on gaining access to CONNECT will be given by your Tutorial Instructors. Graded online assignments are assigned in Connect from tutorial 2 onwards. Please do not buy textbooks from your seniors as out of the seven textbooks, we have changed two textbooks and updated three other textbooks to their latest edition.
