Imagine a world where a woman's only role is in the household. Seems like utopia for most men right? But we must never forget that they contribute to every aspect of life. Time and time again we see the woman being treated like inferiors. Throughout history, women have not been treated with the same as men and are being denied rights. Whether it be voting, ownership, or education their rights are being denied. Their rights are human rights. Therefore a muslim women, who is still a woman, must have the right to wear the hijab if she chooses.
France today: there is a law placed in France currently which forbids one from covering their face for religious or secular reasons. According to "The New York Times Upfront" defenders of the law's reason for passing such a law is because "It could enable crime, or even terrorism." They are afraid, afraid of the fact that they can't monitor them at all times. If people can't see something, then they tend to be afraid of it. Let us not forget the fact that one does not need to wear a mask to be a terrorist. Terrorism is the use of violence and threats in order to intimidate or coerce.
August 6-9, 1945 one of the biggest acts of terrorism ever committed. The United States of America bombed japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people(without masks). Their justification… ending the war quickly and with little casualties as possible (from their side). If that is a valid reason then Hitler should be called a hero for getting rid of the "impure and evil" jews. Calling a muslim terrorists is the same as me calling christians "nazis". A muslim women should not be denied her right to express her religion because the government says so. The ban is a violation of their natural right to express their religion. That decision should be left to the individual if she wants to follow her religion or not.
