Hillary Clinton establishes credibility through ethos by being well known around the world as well as her background in law. She attended Yale for law school, was a lawyer activist and volunteer. She was a united states senator in 2001-2009 and then became the secretary of state 2009-2013. She also served as the first lady to her husband bill clinton in 1993-2001.
Bill very similar to hillary also attended yale but built his credibility in the beginning of his presidency by being married to Hillary. Throughout his presidency he was able to accomplish things such as presiding over the longest peacetime and economic expansion in history.
Hillary appeals to pathos or emotions during her debate in her campaign videos she explains what a hardworking citizen is and provides examples of what a hardworking citizen does looks and acts. Her goal is to capture the shape size and style of every american so that the video may relate to every american or that the american might relate to the circumstance in some way to show that she values the people.Bill clinton used pathos in his speeches by using a strong straightforward and serious voice. He always stayed center to ensure that he is facing the entire crowd at all times and he relates to the crowd by using familiar slang a familiar voice and smiles.
The logical appeal to appeal to her feminine audience especially in her speech “Women's rights are human rights” She uses statistical examples to show that women are growing and becoming more powerful. She says “75th anniversary of women's suffrage it took 150 years after the declaration of independence for women to win the right to vote.” Bill clinton used logos in the begging of his presidency by thinking president bush for “serving a half of century to our country” he admired bush and wanted to think him for making a path for him
There are many comparisons that can be made from the the way Hillary presents herself while running for this presidential debate as Bill clinton did while he served as the 42nd president of the united states of america.
