Peyton Manning is known around the world for his talents on the football field. He is considered to be the best quarterback in the league today even at the age of thirty – six years old. With his ability to read defensive players alignments and formations, he is almost unstoppable. Many people feel that he is going to go down as one of the best players to ever play the game. Others argue that his younger brother Eli has an edge on him and feel that he is the better quarterback out of the two because he has more super bowl rings. Peyton Manning is among the league’s leaders in passing yards, touchdowns, and quarter back ratings every year and has been since his early years in the National Football League. Peyton is a student of the game. He studies game film like he is studying for a final exam in college. He knows the game inside and out and he shows it on the field. Peyton was the selected number one overall in the 1998 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts. His rookie year was far from perfect, but he set a few NFL records for completions, attempts, and passing yards in a season. He also had a few plays that many would like to just over look by throwing a NFL high twenty – eight interceptions in that season as well. Those were just blemishes marking up what would turn out to be a remarkably successful career. Even though Eli has more super bowl rings then his older brother, Peyton still has the edge in my eyes as the best quarter back in the NFL and in the family and has the stats to back it up.…
I have chosen a commercial from Nike, the international sport brand. The main characters in the commercial are Tiger Woods and Rory Mcilroy. They both are professional golf player. So, he starts playing golf since small and join different kinds of competition and no matter what the weather was, he will keep practicing golf. Finally, he joined the League being professional, playing against his role model in the same field.…
Although Hillary and Bernie are both different people. They share a few qualities that made them each similar. Growing up both candidates grew up saying or calling their mother by the same name. Dorothy was first name of each of their mothers and although they have different last names its interesting knowing they had this in common. Another similarity that can be seen is that they both also met their spouse in college. Even though Bernie is no longer married to his wife he met in college its fascinating knowing that they shared that in common. Growing up Hillary was a Republican who was influenced by others around her, but eventually she became Democrat. As we all know Bernie is also a Democrat who was very passionate about his…
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson had very different political views, which is why our first president, George Washington, had them both in his cabinet. Hamilton was the first Secretary of the Treasury, while Jefferson was the first Secretary of State.…

During the Revolutionary- Federalist Era, politics, parties, programs, policies, and people made an enormous difference in how the new nation should be structured and run. During this era, two men in particular championed politics and their respective parties. These two men were Alexander Hamilton, a Federalist, and Thomas Jefferson, a Democratic-Republican. Both Hamilton and Jefferson were successful college educated intellectuals and politicians who made significant contributions to the development of the United States policies and programs. However Hamilton, despite never being elected President, had more influence over the development of the United States’ policies and programs during the Revolutionary-Federalist Era. Historically Hamilton and Jefferson are known for agreeing to disagree over just about every policy being discussed during the establishment of government structure, and decorum. And it is Hamilton’s policies on economics, government structure, and constitution interpretation, which took precedent over Jefferson’s.…
Being lead by temptation affects not just one person but others. Temptation, arrogance, and lies lead to pain. People who are usually tempted by the love of another woman tend to destroy all things around them. Scandals and cheating usually does not turn out well; Tom from The Great Gatsby and Tiger Woods both experienced this. Although Tom was a fictional character and Tiger Woods lived this first hand, Tom would be able to relate to the regret that Tiger now feels if Tom was not just a character playing a role in a novel. Tom and Tiger Woods are a lot alike and it goes deeper than what meets the eye. Everybody might see the relation between Tom and Tiger both cheating, but people might not take the time to think about what kind of person cheats and what cheating does. Both Tom and Tiger Woods had an affair while they were married and that shows what kind of character both of them have. But the fact that they both made the women they cheated with feel like they were the most important thing to them also sheds light into their character. Character that is full of deceit and dishonesty, and the affair may last for a short time but when the news gets out then the overall destruction begins.…
Emerging from the Jeffersonian Democratic-Republicans in the 1830’s, came a new party, led by the famous Andrew Jackson. This new party derived the same principle of appealing to the average American that their predecessors did. The Jacksonian Democrats took it a step further though, and boasted their dedication to the “common man” by insisting that the government bowed to the will of the people. They were also a proponent of smaller government, and that all positions of the state be elected directly by the populous. The main principle of the Jacksonian Democrats, was “the majority is to govern”, in which Jackson himself also stated that “[the people had the right] of electing their Chief Magistrate” meaning that the electoral college, nor the House of Representatives should have the right to interfere. Not just the president, but all positions in the government should be directly voted in by the people, from Senators to Supreme Justices. The party was favored by the working classes, which included mechanics, laborers, and farmers; which at this point in time, still made up a very large majority of population, especially in the West and South.…

The Democrats had a strong opposition to Ames’ politics that steamed from a hatred for blacks and Republicans. As governor, Ames wished to fund public education through taxation, allow blacks to own land, and uphold Negro citizenship rights including voting. On the other hand, the majority of white Mississippians, nicknamed Bourbons believed that racial hierarchy was the natural order. “They considered themselves not as prejudiced against Negroes but merely as protectors of that natural order;” they did not support public education because “literacy and land tenancy would be disruptive to the plantation tenant system.” Also, the Democrats worked with the Taxpayer’s leagues in Mississippi to address concerns with taxes levied by Republicans. In addition, the viewpoint of many white southerners agreed with Congressman of Mississippi, Lucius Lamar. Lamar was “the model of the southern Bourbon politician” and a defender of slavery before the civil war. In a speech Lamar described Republicans as “gross and shameless dishonesty, their exorbitant taxation, their…
1. The Whigs and Democrats agreed on a few things. First, they agreed to push slavery aside as long as they could, as noted in the gag resolution. Not only that, but both parties also made use of campaigning towards the “common man.” Despite that, these parties also differed. The Whigs were made up of Jackson haters, whereas the Democrats composed of people who supported Jackson. With this in mind, the Whigs were incredibly disorganized. The Whigs also supported a national bank, whereas the Democrats certainly did not. Finally, the Democrats supported westward expansion over the Whigs.…
Most Young adults are undecided whether they want to be a democrat or republican. The Democrat party logo is the donkey and Republicans party logo is the elephant. Democrats are generally Choosing to be a Democrat is the way to go because they support abortion, Democrats support gays and gay marriages, oppose the death penalty, oppose the right of everyone to bear arms, and democrats favor minimum wages. Democrats are known as liberals and they are left of center. Republicans are called conservatives and they are right of center.…
The American political system is made up of primarily two parties, Democrats and Republicans. These parties go against each-other for many political positions, such as presidency. In the time period when Macbeth and Speech to the Troops at Tilbury were written, women had no distinct role in a society ruled by men. Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Queen Elizabeth in Speech to the Troops at Tilbury differentiated themselves from the regular, submissive women by veering from their traditional role. Although both Lady Macbeth and Queen Elizabeth demanded our attention with their unbridled ambition, femininity and choice of words, the way they did so was different.…
Before a government is formed one has to go through several processes with the first being the nomination of candidates. In a student government as well as a national government persons are nominated to fulfill certain roles in the interest of those they serve. After candidates are nominated they are given the opportunity to persuade individuals on why they are the best fit the role they wish to serve in. An election which is an organized event at which somebody is chosen by vote for something, especially a public office is called.…
