World is becoming multi-faith day by day. There isn’t any single country in the world occupied by the people of a single belief. Each country has different faiths in the form of minorities and majorities. People of different communities are living with each other around the world and coming closer day by day.
This is an era of globalization which calls for “interfaith awareness and understanding”. A basic understanding of the diverse range of cultures, faiths and their histories has become a requirement to survive which also serves as a starting point towards greater understanding and respect for others. Pakistan is a country with at least 180 million people belonging to different faiths. Muslims are in majority while Hindu, Christians, Jews, Buddhist, Sikhs and others are the minorities. Among them Hindus make 1.6 per cent of the total population in Pakistan and 6.6 per cent of Sindh’s population is Hindu. About 80 per cent of the Indian population regard themselves as Hindu. This project of “Interfaith awareness and understanding” is based on Hinduism.
This project posse the information one requires for basic understanding and awareness of Hinduism. We tried our level best to gather more and more information. This project answers many questions what one wants to ask in order to understand this faith. Our work carries the information taken from the books on Hinduism as well as the interviews of people.
Our work also discusses the misunderstandings regarding Hinduism created by the people of different religions and will tell you what the misconceptions we have regarding their faith are and how they can be eradicated. This project is an effort to change the mind of people who believe in those misconceptions and misunderstanding and clearly distinguishes the right from the wrong.
It has been observed that sometimes the difference in beliefs creates conflicts and violence among the people of different faiths. But actually no religion
