Hinduism is one of the oldest religions that is still in exsistance today. Those who follow Hinduism say that it is not a religion that it is in fact a way of life. The law that governs all of a Hindu's life is called a Dharma. Hinduism, has its own beliefs, ethics, philosophy and theology. The question of origin in
Hinduism is that there is no origin.
If you look in the Bible for the answer, you will not find any mention of
Hinduism. It has been said that Hinduism is a sophisticated system that makes every possible attempt to maintain its complex polytheism …show more content…
with one hand and the worship of nature on the other hand.
The second question is the question of identity. To all practicing Hindus all living things are a manifestation of God. They have never seen themselves above the plants and animals.
This is because the plants and animals on earth provide them with food. They believe that the plants and animals have been placed on earth and should be worshipped.
In Hinduism the questions of Meaning/Purpose has four main goals they believe should be followed exactly. The four goals of Hinduism are pleasure, wealth, harmony, and liberation. The first two goals are torturous to those who practice
Hinduism. This is because it causes a very large deal of suffering. The other two goals are easily acheived by those who practice Hinduism.
Thier main idea of salvation is to overcome the desires considered to be evil.
The two evil desires that are considered to be evil to be pleasure and wealth.
In order for those who have accepted Hinduism as a way of life strive to become Moksha. This according to Hindus means to release the evils that are being dealt with.
Hinduism answers the question of Mortality firstly for its followers is to become Moksha. In order for these people to do so is the evil doings
and wrongs have to be released in order to accomplish their goals. The resources they use to maintain the release of all that evil is to live through practices, such as yoga, correcting the way that they live and the dharma.
These people believe that once these goals are accomplished that they will have a much more sought after reincarnation.
The religion of Hinduism answers the question of Destiny by saying that reincarnation happens after the human body is dead. Then it travels to a new body. According to the Hindu rules it says that the kind of life they will have next depends on what sort of life they lived before. To Hindu people they can become another person, animal, and even some sort of plant. They believe that if they believe that if they went as high as they can go, which is a place called Nirvana, they can attain a God-like essence.
Compare and contrast the religions of Hinduism and Christianity on the question of origin says that both of these religions believe they have been created by God. The religion of Christianity is much more specific on how God had created them. In the Bible it says that God had made everything out of nothing. It has been said that the Hinduism faith has roughly about
330,000 Gods. While we as Christians have and only need just one and true
God.
The question of identity, Christians believe that God put us over the animals.
The Hindu people believe animals and plants should be worshiped. They are both in agreement however that animals and plants had been put on the earth to provide a source of food.
The question of Meaning/Purpose in a Christian worldview believes that we have to have a relationship with God in order for use to have salvation. The Hindu people believe that salvation needs to be earned and that salvation needs to be earned and that they can get to greatness through yoga and dharma. They believe they have to live in what they consider right to have good karma.
In the question of Morality christians believe that we are to follow the Bible in regards of what is right or wrong.
In the question of Destiny the Christians believe you must accept Jesus in our hearts in order to get into heaven. Hindus have spiritual practices to attain good karma. The question of Destiny shows that if Jesus is accepted humans may then spend eternity in heaven. If this doesn't happen we will burn in hell.
Hindus think that they have to have good karma and reach nirvana. Both worldviews are similiar in the decisions made on earth will affect how and where eternity will be spent.
