This document states that an overview of the immense damage to Japanese infrastructure, population, and willpower following the denotations of nuclear weapons above Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is important to note that the U.S. was not at war at this time, and it was Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 that triggered the United States to take immediate action. This attack on the U.S. Navy on U.S. soil proved that the U.S. was not in fact untouchable. This document also states that the second denotation bomb was Hiroshima, dropped in Hiroshima , Japan on August 6th at 8:15 a.m. This bomb killed more than 200,000 people. Many died instantly or through the weeks and months due to the exposure of the results. The third and last bomb the U.S had under their power, was Nagasaki. These bombs caused more damage than anyone can ever imagine. The residue left behind, has caused thousands of deaths due to cancer and other disease caused by radiation. To this day, there are parts of Japan that are incapable of being inhabited due to radiation instigated by the bombings. This document brings to light many of the facts that are ignored by the American population concerning the catastrophic, almost inhumane effects on the Japanese population.
