On August 6th , 1945, at exactly 8:15 in the morning the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. At that time the six characters were each doing there own thing. Miss Toshiko Sasaki, who was a clerk for a factory, was just now sitting at her desk to start work. Dr. Masakazu Fujii was about to read the Osaka Asahi. Mrs. Hatsuyo Nakamura was standing at her kitchen window after getting her kids to sleep. Father Wilhelm Kleinsorge was reading a Jesuit magazine. Dr. Terufumi Sasaki, no relationship with Miss Sasaki, was carrying blood to a lab for a Wassermann test. The reverend Mr. Kiyoshi Tanimoto was about to unload a cart for a friend at his house. I feel as if the author did reach his goals on making a good book telling about the bombing of Hiroshima but at some movements he would go of topic and give to much detail on a insignificant subject. The strengths of the book would be how good the author made you feel like you were in the book and the constant change in character, which told each story a different times. The weaknesses of the book would be the amount of detail in some situations and sometimes it did get confusing because of the constant change of character. Like I said before, I would recommend this book to friends if they wanted to know more on the subject or are just locking for a good historical book to
