PAPERS: You will be required to write two three-to-five page BOOK REVIEWS (not book reports!) based on a book you have read (Please refer to the accompanying bibliography). Please choose a book on a topic that interests you and read it. More information will follow.
MIDTERM & FINAL:
There will be two midterms and one final. FORMAT: I.D.’S Pick five out of a possible ten. Define them and give their historical significance. ESSAY QUESTIONS: Answer one out of a possible three questions.
IN-CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
There will be between five to ten in-class assignments. This will include assigned homework and in-class work based on questions on articles that will be handed out in class.
ATTENDANCE/PARTICIPATION
Attending class regularly will be a critical component of any success in this course; therefore Attendance/Participation will affect your final grade. This includes class attendance, participation in class discussions, and overall effort. If you are having any difficulties you must COMMUNICATE with me.
