Truman
Truman Doctrine of 1947, Truman promised to support those countries threatened by communist. The Truman administration was accused of losing China and America became involved in a war in Korea when communist North invaded South in 1950 which led to the “Red Scare.”
Truman tried to make things right as President, although the American position just fell on him after Roosevelt’s death.

NSC-68
April 14, 1950, NSC-68 is presented to the national security council. NSC-68 was declassified on Feb.27, 1975.
Strived to discredit the Communist regime and give America a positive leadership in the non-Communist world.

General MacArthur
President Truman revived General Douglas MacArthur of his duties on April 11, 1951 and replaced him with Lieutenant General Matthew B. Ridgeway.
Douglas MacArthur showed unwillingness to follow rules; Truman didn’t want to fire him, but said if he didn’t then who would he be himself violating the constitution.
