History of Bsu Che
The Institute of Home Economics was created as an independent unit of the Bulacan State University as per Board Resolution. The BSU Board of Regents approved the proposed Curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics under resolution no. 11, S. 2000 held on April 8, 2000 during their 2nd regular meeting for C.Y. 2000. The said program was offered the following school year 2000-2001.

Immediately after the creation of the Institute of Home Economics, the following school year, the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics was offered by the Institute. After a year, the proposed Bachelor of Science on Hotel and Restaurant Management was recommended by the BulSU Academic Council in a Referendum dated February 2, 2001.

The Institute of Home Economics shall help realize the vision of the Bulacan State University to become the center of educational development in Bulacan and in the whole nation.

The first director of the institute was Prof. Fidelita P. Estrada. The second dean of INSHE was Dr. Eloisa Monserrat P. Jose, a graduate of Doctor of Philosophy, Major in Home Economics in UP Diliman who took her office last 2003 and retired at April 27, 2008.

The institute had its first batch of graduates in BSHE last March 2004 with Ms. Catherine S. Dolor as Magna Cum Laude. AS regards to the BSHRM students, they are having their on-the-job training in various hotels and restaurants in the Philippines as well as in Singapore.

Beginning 2003, INSHE was also transformed as a service college. Hence, home economics subjects in the other colleges like Food Technology, Garments Technology, Consumer Education, Home Management, and other related subjects are now handled by the Institute.

The institute transferred to the new Home Economics building beside the BSU Hostel on August 2006 though the effort of the former University President Rosario Pimentel.

Due to the increasing student population the Institute was converted into a College on August of 2006.

The novel Divided City by Theresa Breslin Is set in gloomy Glasgow, Scotland, in the recent times. The story is aimed at teenagers and adults alike and concerns the asylum seeking problems and associated racism towards illegal immigrants who had arrived in Glasgow at this time. I really enjoyed this novel as it was good to see each supporters of Rangers and Celtic, be such good friends. Even in today's modern time, it's refreshingly different to see the 'old firm' barrier being obliterated, with the two pals showing total trust and friendship with each other, despite their religious differences. Which of course, this is the way it should be with society. The novel also had a really good storyline and plot to which I learned a lot more about racism and sectarianism from this book. It profiles both how dull Scotland can be and how wonderful it can be when you see, so called enemy's, be friends.…
