Introduction
The Salk Institute was built in 1965. It was designed by Louis Kahn for the client Jonas Salk, the researcher who discovered the cure for polio.

In conducting my research for this essay I started with a Google search of the chosen building and the architect, Louis Kahn. This is a very well documented building and is considered a “classic” (Arch Daily Classic).
