While watching the film Hitch, please utilize your chapter nine concept questions and textbook to reflect and respond to the following questions:
1. What interpersonal relationships are developed in the film? How do you know? Consider shared perception, ongoing interdepend connection, relational expectations and interpersonal intimacy.

2. How do the relationships share power? Are there any power sharing concepts that apply to any of the relationships? Provide examples.

3. Attraction is often the first signifier to a relationship. There is short-term initial attraction and long-term maintenance attraction, while watching the movie, do you notice any examples of short or long-term attraction? How do you know?

4. Social Penetration Theory argues that when we start to feel closer to someone, we begin revealing (disclosing) more information about ourselves. During the movie, look for examples of more self-disclose and provide examples below. Why do you think they disclosed more information?

5. When starting relationships, theorists argue that we often wonder, what are the costs and rewards for entering or remaining in this relationship? Do any of the characters do this when forming or remaining in a relationship?

6. Relationships can escalate and de-escalate. Look to the relational elevator on page 264, during the film watch to see if the relationships go either way on the elevator. Provide examples when you witness them (no matter how small or large).
