Hitler There is no doubt that Hitler was a very wicked man, however learning what I did in Mr. Torribio’s history class, though I hate to admit this, Hitler was also very keen. Under the circumstances that Germany was facing, Hitler took control and cultivated the country to 3x its original magnitude. While other Countries stood silent. How did this happen? And How does Hitler’s rise to power lead to conflict? Hitler rose to power in a blink of an eye, and stayed for longer. The Great Depression of Germany assisted Hitler’s uprising, it was one of the worst depressions during the 1900’s. The people of Germany had no hope, and when being offered the basic essentials such as food and water, they accepted Hitler as their leader & savior. He also specified that the source of Germany’s economic downfall was the Jewish culture. Adolf Hitler told the people to rely on him to make Germany a prominent Country, and that he would broaden the land of Germany’s “living space”. Although Hitler’s promises to the natives of Germany were fulfilled; he also made changes that he did not communicate, after establishing himself as a dictator. Hitler also rescinded promises, he made to other Countries. After WW1 the Treaty of Versailles was set, part of the treaty was an agreement that Germany would not build up an army. Of course, under Hitler’s Reich, he defied the pact and continued to construct his military & equipment. Hitler then led his militia toward Rhineland territory; he stated that Nationalism was the motive for Germany’s success. However, France took direct action for his undertaking and announced that, “there would be no negotiation with Germany as long as a single soldier remained in the Rhineland.” Britain, unlike France, “favored a policy of appeasement “and to avoid any confrontation they decided to let Hitler occupy the Rhineland.
