What caused tension between the Soviet Union and the United States after the war? * The fact that the Soviets were communist and Americans were against communism. Soviets also wanted to punish Germany; however Americans wanted to do the opposite.

At the end of the China’s civil war, the US refused to accept the communist People’s Republic Of China as China’s true government. What were the advantages of such a policy? What were the disadvantages? Do you agree with this decision? Why or why not? * This policy would have Nationalist China kept part of the UN, which was a positive. The negative of this however was not accepting Red China as a true government, which caused uproar. This decision was best in order for the US to not be associated with any form of Communism.
