Taiwan is an operational hub in Asia-Pacific located at the heart of the region and less than 3hrs flying time to major cities in Western Pacific on average. The working population of service industry accounted for 58.6 percent of total employment in Taiwan in 2011 and the output value of service industry in Taiwan accounted for 67 percent of Taiwan 's Gross domestic product. This indicates the service industry has become the main axes for creating industrial value in Taiwan same as those developed countries. Taiwan has high acceptability towards new technologies. Hence, it is in a position to become the R&D and test centers for products aimed at the global ethic Chinese markets. 1. Rationale for Selection of Taiwan
The companies can integrate professional services knowledge and make use of Taiwan 's advantages to test new innovations locally and copy successful experiences abroad. Taiwan can be a development base for various products and services and a marketing base for expanding business in ethnic Chinese market. 2. Detailed Cultural Analysis of the Host Country * Cultural- Taiwan’s culture is a blend of its distinctive Chinese heritage and Western influences. Fine arts, folk traditions, popular culture embody traditional, Asian and Western motifs. One of Taiwan 's greatest attractions is the National Palace Museum, which houses over 650,000 pieces of Chinese bronze, jade, calligraphy, painting, and porcelain. This collection was moved from the mainland in 1949 when Chiang Kai-shek 's administration fled to Taiwan. The collection is so extensive that only 1% is on display at any one time. * Education- Taiwan has an extensive higher education system with more than 100 institutions of higher learning.
