Hollywood is now for big and expensive movies with highly paid actors and producers. The producers are no longer fixated on what entertains the American public. The nation no longer sees the American classic movies. Producers today consider the foreign market very important. Before a film is produced in Hollywood, they have to ask themselves if the movie will be understood and received well in China or other nations. This keeps away so many movies from being produced. The movies that meet the criteria are very few and have to use a lot of resources before getting produced.
