On of the most powerful quotes from the book Night by Elie Wiesel is:
“ Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night, seven times cursed and seven times sealed. Never shall I forget that smoke. Never shall I forget the little faces of the children, whose bodies I saw turned into wreaths of smoke beneath a silent blue sky. Never shall I forget those flames, which consumed my faith forever. Never shall I forget that nocturnal silence which deprived me, for all eternity, of the desire to live. Never shall I forget those moments, which murdered my god and my soul and turned my dreams to dust. Never shall I forget these things, even if I am condemned to live as long as god himself. Never.”
To me, this demonstrates that no matter the hardships we deal with in life, as long as we never lose hope, we can survive anything. Ive hoped in life many times but I probably lost hope way more times then I can count, even the littlest things from hoping my football team was going to win.
Most people would think that youd have to be crazy too think that another Holocaust in todays world is near impossible, but would it be that hard when there are still people in the world that think that hitler had the right ideas. Just in 2001 Osama Bin Laden was responsible for 9/11, all because he hates white people? Or vise versa for are part after what they did so are we suppose too hate muslims and kill them all well if you think about that’s how the Holocaust started was because hitler want too eliminate the jewish race. Now picture your born and your parents and everyone around you believed the same things like no one thought out side the box, how would you be brought up ? probably thinking just like them ! growing up all you here is how bad they are and all this propaganda how could you step out side the box
